Gothic And Spring
A short film shot for a film competition “Film a poem” organized by a polish contemporary literature publishing house, Biuro Literackie.
The goal of the competition was to encourage filmmakers to shoot a film illustrating the poetry of Tadeusz Różewicz, a well known Polish poet who has also been an unofficial Noble Prize candidate for some years now.
The poem illustrated is titled “Gothic and Spring” (“Gotyk i Wiosna”) and is an expression of the fascination for the gothic architecture surrounded by an early spring landscape. That’s the essence and main direction for shooting the film.
The film was shot during a few very cold, late-winter nights in Wroclaw, Poland, entirely in timelapse technique using Canon DSLR cameras and DitoGear OmniSliders.
